2016 — A new base in Deurne
In 2016, the Driessen Group acquired a specialist extrusion business in Someren. The former petfood factory was dismantled. Its production core, the extruder, was rebuilt in a modern facility in Deurne.
A new direction: food ingredients
The seasonal product category led to a new direction. The customer portfolio was transferred and the production lines were adapted and certified for the food industry. Crispy coatings marked the start of a proprietary portfolio.
2018–2022 — Room for development
A test extruder was added in 2018 to research raw materials and recipes, expanding the portfolio and toll manufacturing activities.
A small-packaging line followed in 2020. In 2022, a third extruder was installed, with full wet cleaning, a fluid-bed dryer and gentle product handling via vibratory conveyors.
2026 — Ready for the next step
The factory layout was redesigned for ready-to-use products and expanded with a second fully allergen-free packaging line. DFE continues to invest in safe, high-quality and flexibly manufactured food ingredients.
